Alaska 2008 - Day 2, May 25
Our second day into our Alaskan vacation was much more interesting. We left Fairbanks early morning by train and headed for Denali. The train ride was somewhat interesting but unremarkable. The scenery was nice, but monotonous until we got near Denali where snow-capped mountains began appearing in the horizon.
After our arrival at the Crow's Nest we headed straight to the Outlook for lunch and beer. See my post about Crow's Nest and the Outlook Bar & Grill. Later we visited the Visitor's Center at the Denali National Park and Preserve, which, incidentally, is what visitors do at the Visitor's Center. Finally, at 10:00 PM, in broad daylight, we headed back to the Outlook for dinner and beer.
