Hospital Visits

I've asked most of my family and friends to refrain from visiting me at the hospital. There are literally a handful of people I will allow into my room for short visits. I appologize if that sounds too harsh; but here are my reasons:

  1. I want to minimize any risk of infection.
  2. I don't want to expose myself to a cold or flu that may compromise my abilty to heal.
  3. I plan to spend my time doing everything possible to recuperate quickly so as not to prolong my stay. That means I will either be resting or excercising and I will have very little time to visit.
Once I'm home and  stronger and the risk of infection is minimal, then I'll be able to see and enjoy visits from my family and friends.

I hope folks understand. I know you will.
